Grace Ong

Montessori Educator ~ Art Therapist ~ Parent

My journey of working with children and families began in 2012 when I pursued a master's in art therapy. Since then, I have supported children navigating relational trauma, grief, and emotional or psychological challenges through therapeutic work that allows them to safely express their inner worlds through art. I have also worked with adults in end-of-life care, some of whom were parents or grandparents of the children I served.

Along the way, I deepened my work with young children by becoming a trained AMI Montessori directress and later led a Montessori preschool. This experience allowed me to support children not only therapeutically, but also through a carefully prepared environment that nurtures independence, concentration, and a natural love for learning.

Witnessing life from its earliest beginnings through to its final stages has shaped my belief that living well starts at birth. Every experience, relationship, and moment contributes to who we become over a lifetime.

As a parent myself, I understand the joys and uncertainties of raising a young child. Grace Montessori Playgroup was created as a space where caregivers and children can connect, grow, and learn together. Alongside the playgroup, I also offer art therapy as a gentle way for children to express emotions and process their experiences.
